Meetings were held on September 21, 2016, and November 16, 2016, to outline vision and mission statements, to engage in strategic planning, to update one another on progress in various areas, to consider possible web design, and to establish committees and subcommittees to ensure progress on our work. At the November meeting we were treated to a presentation by Evan Milligan from the Equal Justice Initiative on their work and, in particular, their desire to place a marker at Capitol Park near the old Tuscaloosa Jail where Mr. Andy Burke was abducted and later killed by a lynch mob.
